Blog going away…sort of.
Posted by hgaines
Well I have decided to take down interfaceandfunctionality.com. The blog is not dying all together. The URL is coming down but the posts are moving over to my personal site, homergaines.com. Figured I don’t need 2 blogs out there to maintain that talk about the same stuff plus I’m closing this hosting account later this year.

Posted by hgaines
I was doing some online research and came across an article on layersmagazine.com about a 3D video technology developed by acvt.com.au. This software is really impressive. For those of you who remember the old Metacreations application Canoma, you’ll love this.
Canoma allowed you to create a 3D image from a 2D image which is still pretty cool fro doing some simple 3D design work. But Videotrace takes that same idea and applies it to video!
Take a look at the demo.

Playing with Paper Critters. Having way too much fun here
It’s a flash based app that allows you to decorate “toys” in a 2D environment which later become 3D models. You have a variety of vector clips at your disposal to come up with any design you like.
Check him out. I named him “Damn Birds!”. You’ll see why if you look hard enough ![]()
My Paper Critter Named “Damn Birds!”
Here are a few more toys I created…
